Crowders to supply over seven million native trees for the HS2 Green Corridor

Mark Thurston, HS2 CEO, visited Crowders Nurseries to inspect our forestry stock and to see some of the saplings that will soon be planted along the HS2 Phase 1 route being grown.

Crowders was contracted to supply over 7 million native trees for the HS2 Green Corridor project that will create 650 ha of new woodland, reducing the visual impact of the new rail line and creating new wildlife habitats. Native field-grown trees are grown at Crowders’ Lincolnshire site and will be supplied to the HS2 scheme over a 10-year period that started in 2017.
