It’s estimated that 49% of UK trees have been list since 1850

We were contacted by our partner The Woodland Trust to supply UK-grown trees and plants for a project garden at RHS Tatton Park, in collaboration with designer Ashleigh Aylett.

The focus of this initiative is to address the significant loss of 49% of the UK’s trees from 1850 to the present day by selecting appropriate trees and plants for the project.

Trees and plants we provided for the project:

  • Alnus glutinosa
  • Crataegus monogyna
  • Silene flos-cuculi
  • Filipendula ulmaria
  • Acer campestre

The garden achieved Gold status, with Ashleigh also honoured as the RHS Young Designer of the Year. The wonky Alnus stood out as a remarkable feature, impressing both guests and judges at the event.
